We were immediately drawn to this historic Rexall Drugstore, owned & operated by the Dicernia family. We maintained the original layout with the long communal tables where people would congregate in years gone past. We think it encourages communication among the neighbors, friends, & families that we serve. We pride ourselves on being a place where strangers become neighbors.

Baby Blues BBQ is a family run operation. We got into the restaurant business, or I should say it got into us, through watching our father King Lou & mother Barbara Joan raise ten children with the love & passion to serve others. Their restaurants & my father’s West Virginia roots inspired Baby Blues BBQ.

The first Baby Blues was opened in Venice, California by my brother Dan (aka #9) & his partner Rick McCarthy. We followed suit opening here in early 2009. Since then, Dan & Rick opened another spot in West Hollywood & our brother Steve opened a Baby Blues BBQ in our hometown of Philly.

We cook the time-tested way (low-n-slow) & are constantly striving to perfect our craft. As brothers we share our knowledge & our combined buying power to insure we source the freshest top quality products. We have our own proprietary Pork Ribs cut for the Baby Blues restaurants. Our beef is Black Angus or higher, & our Chicken is free range. Our new Artisan Sausage line comes from Grass fed Berkshire/Durac hogs out of Sonoma.
